Do you like to have uniform cookies of about the same size? Do you get frustrated using a cookie scoop because the dough builds up and does not come out of the scoop? Well I started doing this trick many years ago and it works very well. I put some milk in a cup and dip my cookie scoop in it every time before I dip out the cookie dough. The scoop stays clean and all the dough comes out like ice cream. Try it and see how you get along. When baking becomes too frustrating, then you quit and miss the fun and the opportunity to put a smile on someone's face.
You can also do this and freeze all the dough balls on a sheet then bag them up for easy fresh cookies later.
WARNING - don't let your kids find out or you won't have any dough balls to bake. My four grown children know all about this, needless to say I didn't have many cookies dough balls to bake because they kept sneaking them out of the freezer! They still bring it up and we have a good laugh. Memories - right!
