One highly debated topic over the years has been about how life began? Many of us believe God created the universe but there are some that believe more of a Big Bang theory.
I remember years ago, people talking about how there was a big explosion and all life began after that. When I did some research on the definition of the big bang theory, this is what I found:
The big bang theory is how astronomers explain the way the universe began. It is the idea that the universe began as just a single point, then expanded and stretched to grow as large as it is right now.
Over the years with what I have experienced and seen, I am completely convinced that God created everything just as he stated in Genesis.
Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
Case in point: Everything we know points to a master designer. For instance, if you took a watch and dropped it from a very tall ladder and it broke into hundreds of pieces, how many years would it take before all the pieces of that watch would come back together and work perfectly again without a horologist, a master watch maker?
I am always amazed by the human body; it is so brilliantly designed that the smartest people in the world are continually baffled.
Did you know: (from FactRetriever.com)
A human eye can distinguish between around 10 million colors.
An adult human body circulates blood about 12,000 miles a day.
If you were to count all the nerve cells in a human brain it would take you almost 3000 years to count them.
Did you know that you get a new top layer of skin every 30 days?
Or that the human skeleton renews itself completely every 10 years.
Note this brilliant design: the placenta develops during pregnancy and provides oxygen and nutrients to a growing baby but also removes waste products from the baby’s blood, keeping it from harming the mother all during the baby’s development.
Every day we have daytime and nighttime, we can count on it. Every year in most part of the county, we visibly see and feel the four seasons come and go; it never fails.
Romans 1:20 (NLT) for ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature. So, they have no excuse for not knowing God.
So, I believe as the explanation of the big bang theory states, that the universe began at one single point, absolutely, BUT the single point was God. How can expanding and stretching matter, make up any of those examples I just stated without careful thought and design?
I was just marveling the other day, well this is how my mind works LOL, about my hair. The scalp that contains more than 100,000 hairs and grows about 6 inches a year can part in such a perfect straight line. Not only does God know the number of hairs on each head he created he probably said, “All those hairs have to be in a perfect row because Sally will want to part it on the side someday.” Well, something like that!
If you have eyes to see the complexities of nature and feel your heart beating over and over year after year without missing a beat there is no other conclusion. It’s all there. For man to create, they have to first start with a seed, iron ore, DNA you name it: something that was already created by God
I believe an open heart is able to marvel at the brilliant design of creation and yearn to know the master architect known as God, Elohim (your creator), Abba (Father) El Shaddai (God Almighty), Jehovah Jireh (the God who provides).
Prayer
Lord, you are the original architect. The world is full of your brilliant design. Open our hearts to clearly see it, marvel at it, and yearn to know you. May we walk in awe of you and your creation every day. Help us be thankful of the blessings we share on this earth with others. Thank you, father and provider for everything. In Jesus’ name, amen.
God Bless
Sally
I’ve always thought the watch analogy is a great one, Sally. I shared it last week. And this morning on the way to work, I thought, in a new way, about how if man can maneuver events to create a future outcome, how much more God can. How dare we think He doesn’t know what our future holds!
Love the watch analogy. How anyone could think all of the finely detailed human bodies and nature could be random by design has always been beyond my understanding.
You’re so right Sally! How could this world not be created by God! His awe inspiring touch is everywhere you look and in everything! I can’t imagine how anyone could think a random event could create the beauty of this world
