Perceived Failure

Did you know most successes start with failures?  Did you know that without someone’s perseverance we would not have the things we enjoy today?  Here are a few facts that just may encourage you.

Michael Jordan was cut from his high school team.

Albert Einstein had the label of “mentally slow” put on his permanent school record.

Elvis Presley was fired from the Grand Ole Opry and was told to go back to truck driving.

Colonel Harland Sander of KFC was rejected over 1000 times before finding a franchise partner.

We know the outcome of those people that are now called famous because of their remarkable accomplishments.  They were able to push through, push past rejection and labeling and did the seemingly impossible.  What does that say to all of us?  What would we be able to accomplish if we didn’t listen to negative talk and bow to fear. What would our success rate be if we just kept working even though we failed the first, second or third time or even like Colonel Sander, 1000th time.

Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Maybe we fail because we forget to ask the Lord for help?  Maybe we fail because we live in fear or maybe it’s because we lack confidence in our abilities.

Philippians 4:1313 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

God says we can do ALL things through Him.  He also says

Luke 1:37 For no word from God will ever fail.

What do we have to lose? Try, try again but do it with prayer and with God confidence.   Your failures could become miracles for someone else.  Your failures could be your practice run for God’s plan for your life. Who knows? God knows, we just need to persevere and trust Him.

Prayer,

Lord, it’s so much easier to give up and just go watch TV.  It’s easier but not better.  Lord, I want better.  I want your best for my life.  Hard work produces good fruit.  Difficult things help us grow.  I need your strength, Lord.  Help me get through the hard things and get to the other side.  Give me a spirit of tenacity-persistence and perseverance, so I can push into your presence of strength and ability that I know I will find when I pray and keep moving forward.  May I never ever perceive my self as a failure or anything less that what you have created me to be.  Help me reject the negative talk and thoughts and focus on the positive while I trust in you.  Thank you, Lord, in Jesus’ name, amen.

God Bless,

Sally
