The Remodeling

On January 27, 2021 as I was praying for this nation during still much of the Covid panic and restrictions, the Lord gave me a very vivid picture of a remodeling. Once again, the words came to me and I sat down and typed them up.  I feel now is the time to share this with you.

There is no doubt in my mind that we are living in the midst of a nationwide, spiritual and personal remodel. Some people look at what has been taking place, and declare that this is the end; but many of us that have been seeking the Lord for our people and our nation, have faith that God is answering our prayers.  If you listen to Christian news and programing, you will hear about the revivals taking place across the nation and the exposing of evil.  For those who doubt and live in fear, note this; the Lord says in Matthew 17:20 (paraphrase-see verse below) that if we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we will see mountains move. Don’t we need some mountains to move in our land? Is our faith strong enough to pray and believe that they can, or do we refrain from seeking the Lord and sit around and complain?

Matthew 17:20 NKJV So, Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

I understand remodeling because my late husband and I did quite a bit of it.  So very often God communicates in metaphors.  Jesus did the same thing with his parables. The remodeling is taking place, we will now see the danger behind the walls. Things are being exposed. Over these last 3 years the word recompense keeps coming to mind.  Recompense is not a word I ever used before that time.  It means, making amends for loss or harm suffered; compensate.  So, during this remodel, we need to trust God, trust His process, pray for recompense and refrain from fear.

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind.

The Remodeling 1-27-2021

The Lord is remodeling our home.  He says, “What has been hidden behind the walls, like this old wiring, will cause death and destruction. It must be torn out and replaced with good wiring, a new thing I am giving you.  He says the plumbing is bad too. It is leaking filthy water, your house may become contaminated, it must go.  So, I am installing new pipes to carry clean living water throughout your home and diverting dirty water far away.

He says, “I see the walls need repair, they are dingy and worn.  Because of my work they now have holes that need repaired.  When people come into your home what they see is distasteful, not appealing.  We will need to put up new drywall and sand out all the rough spots to bring life and beauty back into this home.  Let’s also add a new spirit to this place with color.   I am going to add some things that will bring you joy in this remodel.  I know this is hard work but you know it has to be done so that your home is a haven of rest, peace and joy.  I want you to walk into this home and feel that I have been here, and that I have loved you enough to do this for you.”

I say, “How long Lord will this take? I don’t like being torn apart! The wiring I could not see, the leaks were so small I did not notice.  And the walls have been that way for so long, I guess I got use to them.  I did not have the ability to make these changes by myself, but I have been wondering how long until these issues would have to be addressed.  Lord, I know this is dirty business and I know this takes time to do, but again I ask, how long Lord?”

He says, ” Don’t be impatient please, much needs to be done.  I can’t do the paint until I put up the drywall.  I can’t do the drywall until I fix the wiring and the plumbing.  All that is bad has to be removed so that the new reliable things can be put in place.  All that is bad must be hauled away and recycled or thrown into the furnace.  Take heart, the things I tear out will be seen no more.  All you have to do is be thankful and communicate with me, so together we can accomplish this good endeavor.  So, I ask you to please persevere until we make it to the finish line.”

He says, “This home will be beautiful, people will talk about it for years to come.  They will ask you, Who did the work for you?  They will comment and share in your joy.   So be ready to give an answer and share what you know.  Share what you have been given.  Show hospitality, show love.   Never again be afraid of remodeling.  For we know that in hard work, cleansing and repair, perseverance wins the race.  This is the way of it.  If anyone asks, tell them when your home was in need of remodeling, the Lord appeared to us saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love, I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. (Jeremiah 31:3) Therefore I will do this for all who love me with their heart, soul and mind and for everyone who calls on my name.” (From Matthew 22:37 & Romans 10:13)

Prayer

Lord, open our eyes to see the truth.  Show us not only what needs to be remodeled in our nation, but in ourselves as well.  We all need a redo, come fill us with your presence and make the necessary changes for us to have peace and joy in our hearts and in our nation.  Thank you, Lord, In Jesus’ name, amen.

God Bless

Sally
